David Hansen

David Hansen is co-director of the Learning Lab at Oakland International High School (OIHS), where he has worked since 2011. He focuses on data collection, sharing best practices, and advocating for and researching the teaching of secondary-school newcomer students. He was previously a math teacher, math department chair, and assistant principal. He received his master's degree in education with a focus in urban administration and policy from Loyola Marymount University.
