Sean Tanner is a senior research associate with the Center for School Accountability and Performance Program at WestEd. His research focuses on the impact of pre-K–12 policies, such as accountability and school finance reform, as well as educational and socioeconomic inequality, particularly for educationally disadvantaged students. Prior to his work at WestEd, Tanner served as a senior researcher at the Learning Policy Institute. He received his PhD in public policy from the University of California, Berkeley.
