Kathryn Baron is a writer and editor specializing in education. She reported on state, national, and international education issues for KQED Public Radio in San Francisco, National Public Radio, and numerous newspapers and magazines. She is a six-time winner of the Education Writers Association National Awards for Education Reporting. She also cofounded EdSource in its second incarnation an online news organization covering California education, and worked for the George Lucas Educational Foundation, Great Schools, and the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching. She received her master's degree in journalism from Stanford University.
