Femi Vance is a researcher at American Institutes for Research, where she researches and evaluates out-of-school time (OST) programs and provides technical assistance to youth-development professionals. She has expertise in youth program quality, social and emotional learning, evaluation capacity building, and skill building in youth programs. She has extensive experience providing professional development in topics such as continuous quality improvement, engaging youth, and coaching staff; she has co-authored practical guides for OST practitioners. She is a field consultant for the National Summer Learning Association and she serves on the board of the California School-Age Consortium. Vance received her PhD in educational policy from the University of California, Irvine.
