David Lang is a doctoral student in the Economics of Education program and an IES fellow at Stanford University. He graduated from UCLA in 2008 with bachelor's degrees in economics and in actuarial mathematics, and holds a master's degree from Stanford in management science and engineering. Prior to his doctoral studies, Lang worked for five years as a research analyst at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco. His research interests include higher education, online education, and quantitative methods in education research.
